My family owned slaves in the 1700’s. Do I feel guilty about that and feel that I “owe” them someone? No. Not at all. I was not the one that was involved. It was my ancestors. The sins of the father are not the sins of the son.

No one can deny the statistics I presented though, even though they are old, they are still very pertinent today and are probably more so considering that crimes like the one I wrote about are happening much more than what is reported.

Sure whites and other races commit these crimes too, but just not in the same concentration when you consider the numbers of crimes vs. the number of people in the race in question.

You mostly mentioned the acts of whites against other non-white races. Why not mention all the black on black genocidal behavior in Africa, the black on white genocide in the former Rhodesia and the many others.

And most blacks today conveniently forget the primary source of slaves that the Europeans bought. They bought most of them from blacks who were selling off the POWs of the skirmishes in Africa.

This doesn’t make it right, but they [the blacks] have no one to blame but themselves. If their ancestors and families did not facilitate slavery, it most likely would have been VERY limited or non-existent.

Whites are a very viscous people when certain conditions are present, such as when exploring and expanding, but overall are a very civilized and organized race. All races are usually “ok” then they are the sole presence in an area and do things in their own inherent way.

I’m probably going to be flamed big time for this comment but here goes.

Whites tend to gravitate towards a structured society with an imperialistic attitude when detached and in small groups, I feel this is because the Caucasians have been this way for so long. Other minorities, such as blacks and American Indians, tend to gravitate more back towards their primitive tribal ways. Again, because the way people live life is partially based on their innate ways.

I’ll have to overall disagree on opportunities presented to black people. Blacks can be just as successful as anyone else. My first boss is a very successful black Jamaican of humble origins (I met his parents and know), my current boss is a successful black woman of humble origin, and many of my black co-workers who were my good friends and were my best friends were all successful on their own merit and rose up out of their humble beginnings and had none of these problems you mention. They all have similar beliefs as myself about this issue.

Those who do not succeed usually do not do so for a reason. But I will not speculate on individual cases.

My overall point towards the end of my original article was this:

A white person could look at a black person wrong and punch him and it’s a hate crime.

A black person or person of ANY color can do almost ANYTHING to a white and it is NOT a hate crime.

The 5 monsters listed in the article probably saw Christian/Newsome and said “What are they doin here? Lets get those crackers and show them how we do things!”… Then the mob mentality took over and they committed acts that I bet not ONE of them would have committed on their own…

Just to be clear, I AM NOT RACIST. As stated above, I have friends that are black, I also have Asian, Indian, Latino and was even married by a native American preacher. I am just presenting things here as I see them personally.

If you feel I am wrong, that is your right.

Did you stop to consider the conditions that blacks were faced with during slavery? Have these acts just so conveniently been forgotten? Why don’t you research this era, and see what MONSTERS did to them…OR perhaps the Holocaust, no doubt another forgotten event, how about whites vs native americans? No? No recollection of these events? Pity. Maybe you considered the standards for which black people (and other people of color) must live under? The opportunities which whites get freely, and they are denied. The scraping for money, food, shelter, education, health care. You have NO idea!! Ponder this quote: ” If you suffer your people to be ill-educated and their manners corrupted from infancy and then punish them for which their 1st education disposed them, what else is to be concluded, but that you first make thieves and then punish them.

My advice: crawl out of the two square inch box that has become your environment and really take a look at the world. Every race…EVERY RACE…commits crimes, both petty and violent, and who are we to blame any one group of people of being worse…or better, than any other….just a thought.
